Farming/Selling to Seniors “taking it to the streets”


  • - Seniors are more likely to answer when you’re doorknocking

  • - Typically they’ve lived in their home for decades – know the area

  • - If they warm up to you they have time to talk

  • - Even if not actively looking to list they make great “anchor contacts”

  • - Anchor contact:

    • - Someone that can tell you about the neighborhood, their neighbors & friends’ events that can lead to Real Estate transactions

    • - They will talk to you when others slam the door – can give you motivational momentum

    • - If they trust you they can refer you to others in their same age group – they talk to one another by phone a lot

  • - Establish as many anchor contacts in your farm as possible

  • - Become a subject matter expert for your anchor clients & you will be different from other

  • agents in you targeted farming area.
